MIUI 12.5 beta updates 21.5.17 and 21.5.18 went live recently with a pretty useful new feature. Xiaomi is known to roll out beta updates several times per week and hence the time has already arrived for a fresh update. We previously highlighted how the MIUI 12.5 beta updates 21.5.11 and 21.5.12 arrived with 6 new Gallery photo editor filters, new gestures, and text selection enhancements. Beta builds will of course continue to be pushed out at least until MIUI 13 development commences.

Recently, the update has begun to trickle to the global variants of devices as well. In case you are unaware, Xiaomi has already kickstarted their stable MIUI 12.5 rollouts starting with the Mi 10 Ultra back in March followed by more Chinese variants of flagship-level offerings.
